So it does look like the TypeScript language server has a limit of 4MB source size where it disables type checking (and actually shows an erroneous error stating that exports that exist in the file do not exist) for files that are imported but not open in the current workspace/session.

Still not sure if this is documented anywhere or not (haven’t been able to find it, if it is).

99.99999% of the time, unless you’re doing niche stuff like I am, you won’t run into this.

Workaround: should you have such a large file, e.g., with a large generated object, try and refactor to split it up into multiple files and rejoin it a separate file. The actual object size/memory usage isn’t the issue, it’s the file size.

Met this little chap at Skylark. No bloody idea what he is. What a fluffy little bum he has! Look at it! Such floof. Wow. It's like the golden retriever of hovering insects.

Look at the size of his proboscis! Ravishing that little flower.

Edit: thanks to all the folks who pointed out that this is a Bee Fly! Fabulous little fuzzball.

Not sure what the hashtags for hovering bugs are lol... #bug #hoverfly #bugstodon #floof #hairy #FluffyArseBug #ProboscisAsLongAsHisBody

I just got to the bottom of a bad #bug in @inyourface. A recent update was rejected by #AppStore review because it had the Address Book entitlement without actually using it. I removed it and the version went live.
Soon after I started getting complaints about the app hanging. Turns out I was still accessing contacts data, but without the entitlement the app just stalls 🤯. No crash, no error, just the spinning beach ball. Update submitted, hoping this will fix the issue. #indiedev
