Ecosia and other Bing-based search engines aren’t great. Fortunately, I've found Kagi.com which isn't free but is a corporation for public good, don't sell your data, and where results are relevant, much like Google before it got destroyed by advertising.

They also have lenses, where you can search collections of sites or use built-in ones like “high quality recipes (in English) without the SEO spam”
