@penfount Here’s one of my favorites from the 2024 Inkvent calendar. This one definitely a candidate for a full bottle.

Day 8 is Marley, a purple gray with some amazing chromatography with a rose hue and a vivid teal making an appearance.

Swatches are made on Canson, cold press 140lb watercolor paper with a brass Kakimori nib. I’m using a self-inking stamp from Midori that has an oil based ink. My wife spotted this stamp at a Kinokuniya Portland visit.

The top of the swatch has a stamped pattern for recording the name of the ink and other details. There’s a small ink bottle shape with the label section colored in with the ink. There are also 4 types of nibs to indicate the best nib to use. The options shown are felt tip, brush tip, dip pen (a glass style one is illustrated), and a fountain pen nib. The bottom of the swatch has a square patch of ink. Water has been added and you can see vivid teal and rose tones in the purple gray ink. The very bottom of the square is distressed a little. A quote is written in above the square. It reads: “Old Marley was as dead as a door-nail.”, Dickens
