Any hygiene items that they would need to be able to go to a job that they might have, gone.</p><p>Losing everything and then losing the few sentimental things that you’ve managed to hold onto?</p><p>I can’t, it makes me cry for them it’s so awful. </p><p>About a month ago I was watching a news clip on YouTube about Portland and the reporter was just shocked that people weren’t using the shelter beds in this one shelter that was totally empty, so they went to tour the shelter. </p><p>It was a dorm style shelter in a religious organization & to stay there you have to attend services two or three times a day. </p><p>So not only do you have to give up whatever religion you have, if you have one, and adopt theirs, but you also have to prioritize church services over working towards independence? No wonder people don’t go there. </p><p>And I don’t understand how it’s legal to force them to conform to a religion or go to jail.
