I finished watching all 4 episodes of #Adolescence on Netflix. And being the map geek that I am and knowing that every episode was shot in one continuous take, I just had to determine what route the characters took from the family house to a fictional Wainwrights hardware store in Episode 4.
Family house in #OpenStreetMap: https://osm.org/go/evoF7q6j--?m=
@seav I don't go that far, but from time to time I stop what I'm watching to find the location on OSM too :-)
@seav Cutting through the North Field seems also like a plausible route, especially since there is no data if the industrial area is fenced off.
@barefootstache I actually suspect that they used North Field as a way to position the kids that harrass the father.
@seav I'm glad I'm not the only person following up stuff I've watched on OSM.
@seav That'd definitely be taking the long way around. Assuming the business park only has one entrance (on the Avenue from Hemsworth Road). It'd make sense to use the public footpath from the new houses on Hague Park Lane. Never seen the series, but I was in the area about a year ago.
@SomeoneElse the characters drove a vehicle and that’s why they took the longer way round.
@seav given the reason they went to the hardware shop, I wonder *why* they took the vehicle....
@amapanda, I guess for practical filming purposes? The episode is only 1 hour after all and they can’t waste that runtime on walking or cycling to the store.
