Why sure, I'll just make my own map rendering system. I wann turn my geotiff rasters into nicer images.

With colour ramps!

@rory Have you looked into QGIS for this? It did some geotiff stuff with it recently and after some initial flailing found it pretty easy to get things looking like I wanted!

@cincodenada Yeah I have used qgis. It's pretty good, and does most of what I want.

I suppose I'm just too used to command line interfaces. I want something I can script, and automatically generate. πŸ™‚

Did you just use the stock qgis? or did you use any nice plugins you can reocmmend.

@rory Ah yeah, that's fair πŸ™‚ I didn't use anything fancy, just stock. I'll keep an eye out for what you come up with! I was looking into trying to do some custom scripting myself to do some summarizing/processing of GeoTIFFs but that never got off the back burner

@cincodenada heh. Yeah I suppose I'm the geek who wants perfect tools and will spend weeks shaving those yaks! πŸ™‚
