This looks cool. An big (public domain) physical map of the world, in a projection that's more "equal".

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but isn't that map just a regular projection, such as have used for decades? By the way, Robinson is neither equal area nor conformal and especially not equidistant.

The fact remains that if you want an accurate representation of the world in all its main cartographic aspects, you have to use a globe. Physical globes have existed for centuries and virtual ones are now increasingly common. This is one positive aspect of Google Maps, btw.
