@openstreetmap
As a simple occasional mapper, these questions seem quite distant to my contribution and my use of OSM.
This may be relevant of the distance between people fully involved in the project and its governance and the great majority of those who are only aware and contribute to improve the data.

@openstreetmap I received the email and checked the web site, but there are no hints about the argument of the questionnaire until (probably) after you accept of answering. Since the arguments are unknown I did not accept.

@telemaco @openstreetmap it's been documented on the talk mailing list. It's not terribly interesting, but it didn't take long.

@CjMalone Thank you very much. I am not subscribed to the English mailing list, so I wasn't aware of this.

@openstreetmap Why do I have to enter my name and email address? It sais it's anonymous so it should not be necessary to enter that.

@openstreetmap what's the official way to create a custom OpenStreetMap? I noticed this website: umap.openstreetmap.fr/en/

But that functionality is not merged with the official OpenStreetMap website. I don't want to risk creating a useful map which then disappears overnight because of a project that pulled the plug.

Can I create custom maps with openstreetmap.org/? Because I don't see this functionality.
