There is now a Mastodon instance for publishing scientists: FediScience.
Everyone is welcome from PhD student to professor, as well as researchers from outside of academia. You are welcome to stay afterwards, but it is also easy to change to another server.
There will be a lot of science talk on this server, but there is no need to only talk science
Boosts are appreciated to let others know about this new instance.
Upcoming sessions in 15 minutes: Track 1: Earthquakes and OpenStreetMapTrack 2: Examining spatial proximity to health care facilities in an informal urban setting #sotm
Getting ready a new website for @sotm tomorrow :)
Very interesting list! Thanks for sharing. We looked around for git hosting + coding community - venture capital. We didn't find many options. But we are also happy we spotted and went for salsa.debian.org
@karlos Indeed, we are currently starting work on moving over to vector tiles and client side rendering for a better performing website. We'd be happy to bring this in as a plugin to an existing library.
@openbuildingmap Your additional levels are interesting.
To add partly transparent 2D tiles is a clever and simple idea.
To make data analysis is an even more basic idea.
It could be used by other renderers to.
I would like to see it as an plugin in a 2D client-side vector renderer.
