This week´s main OSM task: mapping a new walking trail, the PR-A 496 Coín-Guadalhorce. This opened last year and I visited it for the first time on Saturday.

It's a pleasant, easy-to-follow trail that descends from the centre of Coín and then follows the banks of 3 rivers (Pereila, Grande, Guadalhorce).

The only small downside is that it ends in a random spot after 12km, so you need to either make it a 24km return walk or carefully plan what to do at the end.

@alan is that a specific application or interface for marking hiking paths?

@scetron The screenshot is from waymarkedtrails.org, which is a website for displaying waymarked recreational trails based on OpenStreetMap data (not just hiking, also cycling and other activities):

For getting the trail date into OpenStreetMap in the first place, I use JOSM which is a general-purpose OpenStreetMap editor.
