First real editing session of 2024: nothing major, just some landuse and other minor details.

Let's see if I can keep this going for some time: added some more sidewalks and landuse. Shame that OSM carto doesn't render natural=shrubbery.

Day 3: Sidewalks
Instead of focusing on a small area I tried adding all sidewalks, as well as sidewalk information to roads. After doing that all roads have sidewalk information, instead of only 3, and as for the sidewalks themselves I made a small map.

Day 4 (just): Tried to map a bit more details around this bus stop. Unlike most stops in the area it doesn't have bicycle parking,a shelter or a bench, so mapped some more details around the fuel station instead, like the car wash, charging point and some advertising.

Day 5: did some mapping around a shopping center, added all missing opening hours and websites (for the shops that have it), as well as parking spaces, landuse, sidewalks and some more details.

Day 6 (again, just): Not much today just some details around a bus stop: converted the bicycle parking to an area, added some trees and landuse, and added a missing shop.

Day 7: parking
Tried to convert every parking node to a way, as well as add any missing ones. In total I ended up converting 28 nodes to ways, adding 65 new ones and editing about 17 ones.

Day 8:
Not much today, converted a building node into a way and reworked some (residential) landuse. Also a small comparison of residential area before and after I started mapping, still lots to do...

Day (9 &) 10:
Added some residential landuse where it was missing and some minor details like street lamps, driveways and surface information.

Also did some mapping yesterday, but adding reference numbers to bus stops isn't the most visual thing (like mentioned before: (en.osm.town/@SeeandMap/1117115)

Day 11:
One of those changesets which looks like 10 minutes of work, but ends up being 90 minutes..

Day 12 (sort of):
Always fun trying to get detailed landuse for mixed-use buildings, also came across an interesting one for tagging: a shop selling (ethically sourced) animal hides (now tagged as shop=interior_decoration).
Also one of the reasons why I love mapping, you see something new every time.

Day 13 and 14:
Different place for this time, a small nearby village. Finally aligned most of the roads, some were off by about 5m, polished up the landuse and did some other minor touch-ups. Also spotted this interesting 'bridge'-like road near the start of a 30-zone, almost looks like traffic calming.

Day 15:
Different place again, found a desire path that has been paved with grass pavers, but not updated in official maps.

Day 16 (only slightly late): Added a photo to a parcel locker using @MapComplete (botsin.space/@mapcomplete/1117)

Still one the easiest ways of editing POIs like this and adding photos on the go in my (slightly biased) opinion

MapComplete

@RLin Well, it is thanks to you that MapColplete has support for parcel lockers - not to mention all your other contributions in the past year!
